Giving Integrity A Voice

Integrity Check: A Simple Checklist

Integrity CheckA simple checklist to “integrity check” yourself!

–Am I aware of when I am integrious and when I am not?

–Am I thinking independently and using my own judgment?

–Is someone else directly influencing me?

–Am I confident that I know the truth? If not have I  done the work of discernment to discover the truth?

–Am I being honest with myself?

–Am I being honest and forthright with others?

–Am I acting out of a need for approval or acceptance from others?

–Is there any fear that is affecting my judgment or action?

–Am I clear on what my values are, and in what relative importance they are to each other?

–Have I thought this through relative to what is right and true in an absolute sense?

–Have I thought this through in regards to how it might affect the others involved?

–If my friends and family were watching me would I act any different?

  1. We developed a similar “Integrity-in-Action Checklist” that we use in our Culture of Excellence & Ethics workshops for educators, businesses, and individuals and in our Power2Achieve curriculum for high schools and middle schools. Check it out: http://bit.ly/lZchnC

    Keep up the good work!

    Peace,

  2. Great list for gut-checking… to expand on the last one, “Would I act any different if no one was watching?”
